I guarantee you, however bad the British version of Changing Rooms is, the New Zealand version is worse. For a start, the budget is lower.
At the beginning of the show, the host asks the victims what the worst thing that could happen is (Paint it bright pink! Fluffy wallpaper!) - With a regularity too uncanny to be coincidence, this is exactly what occurs.
The host also regularly smashes things (Windows, decorative pots, etc.), if she doesn't like them. She thinks this makes her come across as quirky, but in fact makes her seem like a psycho bitch.
Of course, this is what makes it entertaining. They should make a one-team version called "Trash the House!"
