Had a fun evening last night, at the first Science Fiction Society social of the year. I hadn't been to a meeting in about three years, so I barely knew anyone, but they were friendly and pleasant enough, and some of the committee even projected the impression of competence - a quality previously unknown in the society.

I managed, I think, to offend a whole group of girls with my opinions on Buffy, but aside from that minor faux pas everything went just swimmingly.
